Scout wants hair like Rapunzel. She’s getting pretty close.

It constantly amazes me how most little girls are born with the instinctive desire to be a princess. And it begins far sooner than you think it should.

It’s all dresses, jewelery, twirly skirts and shoes. The more they sparkle the better. Scout and Sadie are no exception.

I had the pleasure of photographing this delightful family on our travels down to the Sydney and the Southern Highlands.

When her sister Catherine told Leslie about TWK Studio looking for NEWBORN subjects for our portfolio, she left a message and we couldn’t get in touch with her quickly enough. We were about to head off for a wedding in Sydney in a day or so and 12 days old was just the perfect age for a photo session because they still eat and sleep, eat and sleep and are really like a piece of plasticine that can be moulded into beautiful shapes. Luckily we were able to arrange a time the next day . Simply awesome.

The result was beautiful photos of a lovely little subject. Don’t you agree?

Remember we are still looking for more NEWBORN little creatures to have their photos taken.

Hi,

I had my wedding photos taken by Thaddeus on 16th May 2009. I have recently given birth to a little baby girl – Eleanor Grace born 17th Feb 2012, which makes her 12 days old today and a perfect candidate for your NEWBORN section

Let me know if you would like us to be involved as we have fond memories of being photographed by Thaddeus and have developed a lovely relationship with your staff at your Studio since those days.

I was informed by this event by my sister Catherine just today! who also used your services for her wedding last year (26th Feb 2011). She used Jenny as her photographer.

A couple of years ago I photographed William on the day of his 1^st birthday. He was a cheeky boy with his blonde hair and blue eyes. It was with great pleasure to see this little man and the joy that he brought his parents Lisa & Rob. As a mother to a 9 month old, I now share their amazement at watching your first child grow and learn so much and that first year fly past in a bit of a blur. You wonder where the time goes and you struggle to remember how small they really were. That is why portrait photography is such an honour, to be able to capture these moments to assist in remembering in years to come. The first photos are of William on his 1st Birthday shoot. The later ones are from NOW. Don’t the kids grow and just get away from you so quickly.

Now two years later, as I knocked on their front door again, I was reminiscing about William. I couldn’t wait to see how much he had grown. As Lisa and Rob opened the door there was William, still a blondie with those amazing eyes, but it was also the huge thrill of meeting his sister Sophia. In keeping with the tradition it was Sophia’s 1^st birthday. Lisa & Rob had done so well in creating their “pigeon pair” (although I was trying to convince them to keep having more children – they are obviously great at it to have created two of the most adorable children ever – I think everyone will agree looking at these photos)

Sophia is the cuddliest little girl and I even sneaked in quite a few cuddles myself. She looked adorable in her pink party dress but being a typical girl, I had to also do an outfit change. I am a huge fan of Pettiskirts and I couldn’t resist photographing Sophia in hers. I bought one of these skirts when I was pregnant and I was having a laugh with Lisa about the fact that I had my husband convinced that it would be great for our daughter but that I would also be able to use it as a “prop” for other photo shoots. And that was true. I have used in a number of times in photo shoots with our daughter but also with some other little girls too. There is definitely something in the nature of little girls. It was so much fun watching Sophia with Lisa’s pearl necklace. She was trying so hard to put it on herself and was having the best time playing with it. Sophia is certainly a girly girl.

It was such an honour to see this amazing family again and to see the love that is shared between them all and even siblings William & Sophia. It will certainly be a fun household and I can’t wait to photograph them again and watch them grow…………and maybe in the future there will be another little one too……..please Rob

Family Portrait Session Gareth and Jenny

Krista found a little spot very close to the city that gives the look and feel of being somewhere out in the country , or next to a creek, or somewhere except where it is. When you’ve got a couple of kids and /or grandkids, it’s always in the back of your mind to keep an eye out for suitable locations. The Oxley common was a great spot but since the January 2011 floods, that area is still devastated. The council probably has more important places to fix.

We always keep our eyes open and it doesn’t take a lot of time to pull over and explore interesting spots. Some of them open up only once you get just 50 metres from the parking area and then it’s wonderland . Next week we are going to check out a field of grass only about 10 minutes south of the city. Looks promising.

TWK Studio photographed Gareth and Jen’s wedding a few years ago and isn’t it nice when people keep in touch and share the family with you. Krista was the photographer, and she took the family photos this time as well.

Amy and Chris are getting married on the 18^th of August 2012, and they are also having a reception in England later on after their wedding day.

Krista is photographing their wedding and after a couple of planning sessions, she was able to work out a time to catch Amy and Chris together as theirs is a bit of a long distance romance.

All of us here at TWK Studio are looking forward to their wedding date because they are just a really really lovely couple and it gives us great pleasure to be able to share their day with them

Shiney’s 18th Birthday Portrait Session

Shiney’s 18^th birthday came around and her mum Jin organized to have a special portrait shoot for her.

Her shoot was done around the New Farm and Powerhouse area and I absolutely loved spending the time with the two of them. Her mum even brought a bubble machine to create some atmosphere as part of the shoot. We don’t mind couple bringing along props, changes of clothing and anything they wish to use to reflect their own personalities during the shoot.

October Anniversary

What a lovely couple. To celebrate the anniversary of their wedding which Jenny from TWK Studio photographed, they asked her to do a special anniversary portrait for them.
